A free educational program to help protect our Ancient Surfing Heritage that is being destroyed.
Surf Till 100 is Sponsoring a Benefit Educational Program that will help
educate our Surfing Community and the world at large about the Birthplace of Surfing over 5,000 years ago. This is a very informative program that will help connect the true history of ancient Surfing in Peru and modern Surfing that was born in Hawaii.
In addition, this free program launches a new award-winning historical
Documentary Film, "Surfriders of Peru," Produced over a 30-year period by
Award-winning Hawaiian Surf filmmaker Phil Wilson, this documentary
Uncovers and details the ancient roots of surfing.
Phil Wilson and Felipe Pomar traveled together to Peru 5 times between 1990
and 2019. During these visits, they interviewed several generations of
surfing Fishermen, established relationships, interviewed world champions,
Anthropologists, surf icons, and adventurer scientist Thor Heyerdahl.
If you are a surfer, or if you are interested in the history of surfing, this is a
Documentary that you must see, so you can decide for yourself if this is surfing.
If so, this historical documentary adds 4000 thousand years to the known
history of surfing. "Surf Riders of Peru" has won awards at many documentary festivals.
It is a must-see for surfers and people interested in the history of surfing.
Today our Ancient Surfing Heritage that still exists in Huanchaco, Peru is being threatened.
